The ministry of health of Warrap state has launched an operation to shut down all illegal private medical practices.
A five-man team led by the State Minister of health, Agai Karubino Akec, is screening all private clinics, pharmacies and laboratories for operating licenses.
Agai says those found without the legal documents are being shut down.
The team has also directed that health personnel without proper medical qualifications should not be allowed to treat patients.
The minister has advised all medical facilities to renew their licenses to avoid being shut down.
