The Community Empowerment for Progress Organization has launched a campaign in Juba under the theme "Shake Hands for Democracy and Peace".
The goal is to pursue an inter-ethnic community dialogue that embraces tolerance, respect for human dignity, and good governance in the Republic of South Sudan.
Speaking to Radio Miraya, the Program Coordinator for the Organization, Edmond Yakani, said the campaign wants to get citizens and political figures talking together and, through that, unite all citizens in the new country.
Yakani added that the activities of the campaign will include public forums broadcast through media houses where participants will respond to questions raised by the audience.
Participants of the campaign come from a cross-section of political parties, government institutions, Sudanese civil society organizations and international organizations operating in Juba.
